This construction is valid for floor constructions located between rooms heated to equal or similar temperature. No further insulation is required to meet Part L requirements.

For ground floor installation see construction ECO-BJ1G.

When installing timber floors without tongue and groove edges it is advised to install building paper or simialar under timber floor as possible shrinkage of timber will expose aluminium diffuser plates beneath.

Glue and screw supporting ply to battens.

Aluminium diffuser plates should be flush with top of joists.
