How we work
1. Initial Enquiry
The best way to obtain a quote from us is to send us a drawing. This can be done digitally as either a .PDF or .DWG file (our preferred format) or on paper and posted to us. Once we have received a drawing we’ll get in contact with you to go through the finer details such as floor construction and your chosen floor finishes.
Once we have been through the finer details of your project with you we can take the measurements from your drawing (don’t forget to include measurements or a scale bar) and produce a room-by-room, floor-by floor-quote which details the system type, suggested load bearing surfaces, thermostats and manifolds. The process is usually very quick and we attempt to submit our quotations within a day or two.
3. Follow up
Once you have your quote you should give us a call so that we can go through it and discuss any amendments. If you are happy with the quote and would like to proceed we would advise that we come and visit at this point to discuss the project in more depth and look at the project first hand, meet your contractor, builder and / or plumber. We can go through floor constructions, manifold locations and any other technical matters such as heat loss, heat output etc. that you may be concerned about.
Once all is agreed we raise all the necessary paperwork for the project and commence heat output calculations and layout drawings of the heating pipework. The layout drawings are key and will need to be approved by you, the client.
Once the order has been placed, the product(s) will be picked from our stock and either delivered to you or brought by our installation team to site, if we are installing for you. If you or your builder wish to install the system we can provide support in the form of videos and installation guides as well as the hire of specialist underfloor heating tools.
6. Ongoing Support
As we often install systems outside the heating season you may not turn on the system for quite a while. If we install the system for you we provide 1 year of technical support, free of charge so even if you don’t turn it on for a while you can still count on us to come out and help – see all the wonderful comments on the testimonial section
